Iron Tide Command
★★★★☆ 4.3
Iron Tide Command is a patient game about managing a fleet across a chain of islands. You balance shipbuilding, supply routes, and the occasional tense standoff with rival admirals. It's slow in the best way — decisions ripple out over several turns, and rushing usually punishes you.
Battles play out on a grid where wind direction and ship type decide everything. A heavy warship is useless if it can't line up a shot, so scouting and maneuvering come first. We lost our first big engagement badly and learned the game rewards patience over aggression.
The interface took us a session to fully grasp, but once it clicked it never got in the way. If you like planning three moves ahead, this one hooks in deep.
